At the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, students of the Master’s Degree in Marketing and International Trade (MUMCI) have had the great opportunity, for five consecutive editions, to benefit from the experience of Carlos Pérez Miranda, Key Account Manager at Grupo Bimbo Canarias, as a lecturer in Sales Management within this Master’s program at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

This year, Carlos presented our students with a real business case from Café Ortega, a family-owned company from the Canary Islands and a benchmark in the coffee sector. Through this practical exercise, students were able to engage in a real product launch process, gaining first-hand insight into current market challenges and decision-making in a highly competitive environment.

Working with real cases not only enriches the learning experience but also provides our students with key professional tools and brings them closer to the business world, allowing them to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the Master’s program.

Thank you, Carlos, for your continued commitment and for bringing the business world closer to the MUMCI. We would also like to express our special thanks to Ariel Ortega and Pablo Ortega Plácido for their availability and for sharing Café Ortega’s reality with us in such an approachable and generous way.

The Faculty would also like to thank the Coordinator and the lecturers of the MUMCI for their continuous efforts to engage professionals who help bring our students closer to the business environment.
