The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism (FEET) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria recently held Friday 11th an information session for students enrolled in the Final Degree Project (TFG) and Final Master’s Project (TFM) courses. The aim of the session was to guide students through the academic and administrative aspects involved in completing these key milestones of their studies.

The session was led by the Dean of the Faculty, M.ª Victoria Ruíz Mallorquí, who presented the most relevant information regarding the development of Final Degree and Master’s Projects. During her presentation, she explained the main administrative procedures, important deadlines, the academic regulations governing these courses, and the different research topics and project areas available to students.

The Dean also emphasised the importance of careful planning from the initial stages of the project and encouraged students to consult the regulations and information available through the Faculty’s official communication channels to ensure the successful completion of all required procedures.

The event also featured a presentation by a representative of the SOLSticio platform, who introduced the opportunities available for carrying out Final Degree and Master’s Projects in collaboration with companies and institutions. This approach enables students to develop projects connected to real-world organisational challenges, fostering the practical application of the knowledge acquired throughout their studies while strengthening their links with the professional environment.

The possibility of undertaking final projects in partnership with companies represents a valuable new opportunity for students to approach their research from a more practical and professional perspective. At the same time, it helps them develop key professional skills and enhance their future employability.

At the end of the session, students were informed that the presentation materials used during the event will be made available in the coming days on the Faculty’s website, within the section dedicated to Final Degree and Master’s Projects. This will allow students to access and review information related to procedures, deadlines, regulations, project topics, and other aspects relevant to the successful completion of their projects.

Through initiatives such as this, FEET continues to support students throughout their academic journey while strengthening the connection between the university and the business community, promoting learning experiences that contribute to both academic achievement and professional development.
