Purpose of the Program
To support up to 56 students with the highest academic records who have completed their curricular external internships during the 2025/26 academic year by awarding them a one-off gross payment of €500.00.
The scholarships will be distributed proportionally according to the number of students in each field of study:
* 6 scholarships for students in the Arts and Humanities branch.
* 28 scholarships for students in the Social Sciences and Law branch.
* 13 scholarships for students in the Engineering and Architecture branch.
* 1 scholarship for students in the Sciences branch.
* 8 scholarships for students in the Health Sciences branch.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in this program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
a) Be a resident of Spain.
b) Be enrolled in an official Bachelor’s degree program at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) during the 2025/26 academic year.
c) Have successfully completed at least 50% of the credits of their degree program.
d) Not have previously received the Santander Financial Support for Internships Scholarship 2025 or the Santander Academic Excellence 360 Scholarship 2026.
e) Have completed curricular external internships during the 2025/26 academic year. For this purpose, extracurricular internships undertaken during the 2025/26 academic year and recognized as curricular internships before the application deadline will be considered equivalent. Internships based on prior professional experience will not be accepted.
f) Have obtained a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) in the degree program up to and including the 2025/26 academic year of:
* Arts and Humanities: 8.50
* Social Sciences and Law: 8.50
* Engineering and Architecture: 7.25
* Sciences: 7.65
* Health Sciences: 8.10
These GPA thresholds have been calculated by applying the correction coefficient established in Article 8.2 of the Resolution of 23 March 2026 of the Spanish State Secretariat for Education, which announced general scholarship grants for the 2026–2027 academic year for students pursuing post-compulsory education (Official State Gazette – BOE No. 74, 25 March 2026).
Application Process
1. Applications for the “Santander Scholarships | Financial Support for Internships 2026 | 2nd Edition” Program must be submitted online through the student registration platform provided by Santander at Santander Open Academy: Santander Open Academy.
2. Student registration must be completed between 25 June and 2 October 2026, in accordance with the sponsoring institution’s requirements. These dates may change depending on the sponsor’s decisions. Any updates will be published on the Scholarships and Grants website.
3. Each applicant is responsible for completing the registration process correctly on the designated platform. Incomplete applications will result in exclusion from the selection process.
4. By registering for this program, applicants consent to the verification of any relevant information available in scholarship, grant, and other public funding databases.
