ACCOUNTING PROFILE

Position: Accountant

Candidate Profile

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software (A3, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Knowledge of tax accounting will be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and business-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive and dynamic individual.

Responsibilities
• Recording and monitoring clients’ accounting (companies and self-employed).
• Bank reconciliations and monthly and annual closing processes.
• Document management.
• Ability to analyze balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax advisory or accounting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Spanish tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software (A3, etc.).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Knowledge of international taxation and tax planning will be considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills with clients and business-oriented mindset.
• Proactive and dynamic individual.
• A Master’s degree in Taxation will be positively valued.

Responsibilities
• Preparation and submission of periodic tax returns.
• Tax advisory in national and international operations.
• Review of accounting and tax documentation.
• Support in tax audits and responses to tax authority requirements.
• Proposing improvements for the company’s tax planning.

Official Association of Economists of Las Palmas: Junior Economist

The Official Association of Economists of Las Palmas (COELPA) and the Economic and Social Council of the Canary Islands (CES), as a result of the cooperation agreement signed on December 17, 2024, hereby publicly announce the selection process to fill a part-time position with a 35-hour working week, under the legal framework of Article 11.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015 (Workers’ Statute) – training contracts for professional practice, for carrying out tasks corresponding to a Junior Professional Economist role.

Required Profile:

  • Required qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Double Degree in Business Administration and Law, or related fields.
  • Registered or pre-registered member of the Official Association of Economists of Las Palmas.
  • Proficiency in office software (especially Excel and word processors). Knowledge of data analysis tools and Artificial Intelligence will be considered an asset.
  • Strong technical writing skills, ability to synthesize information, and accuracy in data handling.
