Last Monday, September 29, 2025, marked the start of the first edition of the Master’s Degree in Tourism: Digitalization, Innovation, and Intelligence.
This new academic program aims to establish itself as a benchmark in the Canary Islands’ primary economic driver: tourism.
This Master’s program was created to address the challenges posed by the digital and sustainable transformation of the tourism sector. To achieve this, It offers comprehensive training covering areas such as tourism data intelligence and analytics, innovation and digital marketing, tourism legislation,
Big Data, artificial intelligence, and advanced research techniques applied to tourism.
The students in this first cohort come from a variety of academic backgrounds, including Tourism, Economics, Business Administration and Management, and Data Science and Engineering, enriching the learning experience and fostering strength among complementary profiles. The active methodologies
employed, based on project-based learning, teamwork, and oral presentations, will enhance the development of key skills for their professional future.
