134 students participated in this competition, organized into teams, and created 33 entrepreneurial projects that have been displayed for two weeks in the hall of Module C of the FEET. With these projects, they responded to the challenge posed by professors Antonia M. García Cabrera and M. Gracia García-Soto: to develop business ideas implemented in a country other than the entrepreneur’s country of origin, based on the enclave strategy and committed to the 2030 Agenda.
Five experts who formed a multidisciplinary jury participated in the evaluation of the proposed ideas: Roberto Aguilar (FCPCT of the ULPGC), Irene Bello (Alianza por la Solidaridad), Dante Leiva (CUNEF-Universidad), Cristina Manzano (Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura) and María José Miranda (ULPGC).
After considering the originality and viability of the proposed ideas, their contribution to the SDGs and the creativity of the presentation, the jury awarded first and second prizes, as well as three second prizes (contribution to the SDGs, creative business idea, and creative presentation).
The first prize is awarded to a healthy food vending machine project that takes into account different food intolerances and trends. The second prize goes to a project that proposes the export and use of pine needles to make fertilizer. And the three second prizes are awarded to projects that propose developing packaging with banana leaves, making banana-based cosmetics, and distributing Canarian products abroad through vending machines powered by solar energy.
