On July 19, 2024, the Graduation Ceremony of the 10th class of the Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing and Corporate Taxation, the Master’s Degree in Business Management and Human Resources, and the Master’s Degree in Marketing and International Trade took place in the FEET Auditorium.

On the occasion of the XVIII University Week for the Eradication of Poverty, the students of the MUMCI were able to attend an exciting talk on “Corporate criminology and poverty” on October 14, in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism. This talk was given by Daura Vega, professor of the Department of Chemistry of the ULPGC, and by the Institute of Criminological Analysis of the Canary Islands team, with Óscar Díaz at the head.
This talk highlighted how the counterfeiting of products represents a severe challenge for companies, affecting their reputation, income, and competitiveness while increasing the costs of protection and litigation. The speakers highlighted how this phenomenon generates multi-million dollar losses in taxes and jobs, weakening the growth of key sectors, and the fact that with this practice, consumers face significant risks by purchasing low-quality or dangerous products, eroding their trust in genuine brands.
The meeting of the Association of Deans of Economics and Business of Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla (ADEECA) will take place on October 17 and 18, 2024.
