BANK OF SPAIN: SELECTION PROCESS TO FILL 23 POSITIONS AT LEVEL 14 OF THE MANAGEMENT GROUP, TO PERFORM GENERALIST TECHNICAL PERSONNEL DUTIES
Job description:
A selection process is being announced through a competitive examination to fill 23 generalist technical personnel positions.
The duties to be performed will be those of level 14 technical personnel in the management group, consisting of, by way of example and not limitation, technical support in the areas of financial infrastructure, market operations, payment systems, market conduct, and customer complaint resolution, cash management, economic analysis, and research, management of economic and statistical information, financial regulation and supervision, anti-money laundering, and internal management.
The duties to be performed also include those arising from the Bank of Spain’s membership in international organizations, particularly the European System of Central Banks, the Single Supervisory Mechanism, and the Single Resolution Mechanism, and those arising from the recent creation of the European Authority for Combating Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, as well as the resulting institutional relationships and participation in national and international forums, committees, and working groups.
These duties will require knowledge of English and flexible working hours according to the position’s requirements and legal and conventional regulations. Likewise, availability for frequent travel, both within and outside Spain, may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Be of legal age and meet one of the following requirements, which are summarized. The requirements and all other information can be found at the Bank of Spain link provided here:
- Be a Spanish national.
- Have the nationality of another Member State of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or any State to which, under international treaties concluded by the European Union and ratified by Spain, the free movement of workers applies.
- Be husband or wife or common-law partner (registered in a public registry of the European Union) of Spanish nationals or nationals of any of the other Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or any other State with which the free movement of workers applies (if the relevant treaty so provides), provided they are not legally separated. Their descendants and those of their partner under age 21 may also participate.
- Be a foreigner residing in Spain with legal employment status.
Qualification:
i) A bachelor’s degree, an advanced architecture degree, or an advanced engineering degree from a university or
ii) a university degree or other official university qualification with a minimum of 240 European credits (achievable through an official university degree and/or postgraduate degree) or
iii) another higher, equivalent, or similar qualification, as determined by the Bank of Spain, or
iv) a student currently pursuing one of the qualifications referred to in points i) to iii) above, provided that the student is eligible to obtain said qualification before September 5, 2025.
