Teaching Satisfaction Surveys

From April 22 to May 25, 2025, the application will be open for students to complete the undergraduate and master’s degree satisfaction surveys on teaching activities corresponding to the subjects taught during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. On April 22, each student received a personalized access code in their institutional email, allowing them to access the surveys. These will be available at
MyULPGC > My Evaluation > Teaching Evaluation Survey. Students who complete all their surveys will be entered into a drawing for a tablet per school. You can find all the information about teacher satisfaction surveys in the following tutorial:

XVII Economics and Business Olympiad. Winners of the Provincial Phase

XVII OLIMPIADA DE ECONOMÍA Y EMPRESA. 

The Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism of the ULPGC participates in the Spanish Economics Olympiad as a member of the Spanish Economics Olympiad Association. The Olympiad’s fundamental objective is to stimulate economics and business studies among young people.

Winners of the Provincial Phase

The competitions were held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism (Tafira University Campus) for students from Gran Canaria and at the Lanzarote and Fuerteventura campuses for students from the respective islands.
The organizing committee of the provincial phase, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism of the ULPGC, Dr. María Victoria Ruiz Mallorquí, evaluated the competitions. Following the process, the winners were the students listed in the attached file, which can be accessed from the following link.

 

National and International Phases

The XVI Spanish Economics Olympiad will be held on June 30 and July 1st and 2nd at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Alicante. Three finalists from each of the participating universities will compete. The finalists will represent the Spanish Economics Olympiad Association at the International Economics Olympiad. Talk on the “TOM MICRO” tool by Professor Salvador del Barrio García

Professor of Marketing at the University of Granada, Salvador del Barrio García, gave an online talk on the Tom Micro tool as part of the course in the Master’s Degree in Marketing and International Trade (MUMCI).
Students could see how Tom Micro facilitates media planning for advertising campaigns, from identifying target audiences to creating media rankings and optimizing plans. It’s an essential tool for future marketing professionals. MUMCI’s Coordinator thanks Professor del Barrio for his valuable contribution and the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism (FEET) for its continued support.

Professor Beatriz González López-Valcárcel presents the first public health assessment for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism echoes the news reporting the first public health assessment presentation for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Coinciding with World Health Day, the first public health assessment for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, led by Beatriz González López-Valcárcel, a professor at the ULPGC and a leading expert in the field of Health Economics, was presented at the City Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Monday, April 7, 2025.
